PATIENTS' RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We respect the rights of our patients in terms of race, gender and disability and expect the same from our patients.

We operate a strict policy where patients who are violent or abusive could be removed from the practice list.

We expect patients to keep their appointments, or if unable to attend to let us know in advance.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF PATIENT INFORMATION

This practice is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. All patients registering with this practice have their details held on the computer as well as in manual records.

Information held this way would not be disclosed without the patient's consent.

Data held on the computer may be accessed by healthcare professionals as part of your care but stringent ethical and professional standards are strictly adhered to so that you can be sure of absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Under the terms of the Act you have the right of access to data held under the Act.
