REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
Patients on regular medication need to be seen by a doctor every six months for review of their condition. Review dates are noted on the prescription counterfoil.
Requests for repeat prescriptions must be made in writing, where possible using the counterfoil of your previous prescription on which you should tick the items required then deliver/post it to the surgery.
(This arrangement is in line with national guidelines and will also reduce the possibility of error).
Signed prescriptions (ready two working days later) can be passed on directly to the village chemist for dispensing and be ready for collection by patients from there. Please mark your written request with a large capital "C" if you wish to use this arrangement.
A similar arrangement exists with the Markyate chemist. Please be sure to state which chemist you wish to use.
If a stamped addressed envelope is provided, signed prescriptions can be posted back to patients from the surgery.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Patients on oral contraception or HRT have to be seen by the Practice Nurse for a routine check before each prescription is due (six monthly).
Written requests for repeat prescriptions of these will not be accepted.
TEST RESULTS
Please telephone or call in to the surgery for results of tests after 2.30pm Monday to Friday, if possible.
Patients are expected to ring for results of any blood tests, X-rays or other investigations as we are unable to contact every patient with their result.
All results must have been seen and commented on by the doctor before the receptionist may give out the result.
